What “verified” means here
Official source
Published observations come from the World Bank's World Development Indicators and retain source and indicator identity.
Observation year stays visible
World Discovery does not silently mix years to fill missing values. The year shown with a value is the year of that observation.
Missing data stays missing
If an observation is unavailable for a selected year, the interface should show that gap rather than substitute a different year without saying so.

Coverage differs by indicator, country or territory, and year. A lower entity count on one indicator does not mean missing places were excluded manually; it can simply reflect unavailable official observations for that period. See the methodology and source pages for more detail.
